Our organization relies on dedicated donors and volunteers. There is always a shortage of both. You can help in the following ways:

Your generous, tax deductible donation to Games For Troops enables us to help Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guard.

A note about online donations – Games For Troops is a not-for-profit corporation. As such, all of your tax deductible gifts and contributions go directly to helping Games For Troops fulfil its mission.
Donating New or Used Games
We now accept gifts of new or used games. Do you have a game sitting in your closet or game shelf that just doesn’t get played? Consider giving it to Games For Troops. Depending on its condition, we will add your game to our growing inventory – and when a soldier makes a request for that game (or one similar), we will ship yours along with standard “care package” items.
Games that are given to Games For Troops must be in New, Like New, or Good condition (please consult the chart below). We cannot guarantee that your game gift will fill a soldier’s request. Some games are sold, and the proceeds used to help fund our program.
Game Condition Chart
New – game is in the original box, still in original packaging or shrink wrap. New games are our first choice when filling a request.
Like New – game has been opened, cardboard parts punched out, interior items unwrapped/unpackaged. Game is complete and all pieces accounted for, including the instructions. Box and materials are unworn and unmolested, with no tears, writing, holes, or obvious marks.
Good – game has been played and may show some wear. All parts are complete and accounted for. May or may not include instructions. Box may show some wear, but is not significantly damaged. These games would likely be sold for program revenue.
Other – game is significantly worn or damaged. May be missing parts. Game is obviously used and/or in poor condition. Please do not send games in this condition.
Please note that we are testing this as a pilot program, and we cannot guarantee that your game will be used to fulfill a request. However, we will do our best to put your gift to good use. For example, games not shipped will be incorporated into the games library at Heroicon, which raises funds in support of Games for Troops and our mission.
A “charitable donation receipt” is available for any games or other donations that are gifted to our organization upon request. Your donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by IRS tax law.
If you would like to send us your used or new games, please send an email to [email protected] with your name, the names of your game(s), and their general condition. We do not provide or reimburse for shipping, postage, packaging, insurance, or other costs associated with this project.
